Kitzbüheler Alps

There is barely any region in Tirol that offers so much variety than the Kitzbüheler Alps –Hohe Salve holiday region.

The expansiveness of the Inntal with the shopping metropolis of Wörgl is in contrast to the cosy and familial atmosphere in the seven other towns in the Kitzbüheler Alps- Hohe Salve holiday region.

You can put together variety-packed holidays here – hiking and mountaineering with the family, and road and mountain biking to popular E-Bike tours. During a winter holiday ski fun for all the family is the order of the day.

Pilgrimages on the Jakobsweg trail are also very popular.

The holiday town of Itter

Itter is a small friendly village at the foot of the mountain in Tirol which provides the loveliest views, the Hohe Salve, in the middle of the Kitzbüheler Alps. On a sunny plateau, far removed from the hectic pace and the stresses of daily life, in a wonderful natural landscape you get to enjoy the beauty of the Wilder Kaiser and the Kitzbüheler Alps to the full.

There is also a fantastic castle – Itter’s landmark – which enriches this little town. When exactly Itter castle was built is not known, but the castle and its village was first mentioned in writing in 1420.
